Jane Caddell Paddison
Jane Caddell Paddison is Special Counsel with Donelson Ciancio & Goodwin, P.C. on the Estate Planning, Probate, and Tax team. Jane’s practice areas include federal and state taxation, with a special emphasis in the estate, gift and generation skipping transfer tax areas. She has represented clients in tax planning as well as tax controversy matters before the United States Tax Court, the Internal Revenue Service, and local taxing authorities. Prior to joining DCG, she was a shareholder with Gelt, Paddison & Grassgreen, P.C., in Denver, Colorado.
Jane was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar in 1985, the Maine Bar in 1986, the Colorado Bar and U.S. Tax Court in 1988, and the Louisiana Bar in 1996. She received her B. A. with honors from the University of Maine in 1979, her Juris Doctorate (J. D.) from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1985, and her Master of Laws (LL. M.) from Boston University in 1989.
Jane has been practicing law for more than 20 years, not only providing expert analysis of the options and issues for tax planning, but also strategies designed to facilitate generational asset protection planning, and to address special family needs as well as philanthropic interests. She has a rating of "AV" by the nationally renowned publication Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating for excellence of practice and ethical standards.
Jane also carries the distinction of "Preeminent Woman Lawyer" by Martindale-Hubbell, a further testament to the high level of professional service she provides.
