Motorcycle accident kills rider who fell under truck's wheels

In Denver, motorcycles and vehicles need to share the road. For the most part, drivers are cautious. In some instances, however, a motorcycle accident is unavoidable. Because motorcyclists are so vulnerable, motorcycle accidents can lead to catastrophic injuries and fatalities. These accidents can happen for a variety of reasons, from carelessness to drunkenness to uncontrollable circumstances such as the weather.

A motorcycle accident victim was killed when the rider lost control of his bike and was run over by a semi-truck. The police investigation indicates that the male rider was traveling with a male companion on another motorcycle. As they attempted to pass the truck, their handlebars connected and the rider who died ran into two barrels placed on the road for construction purposes. He then rode into the path of the semi-truck and was run over by the back wheels.

Any accident needs to be investigated fully to determine exactly what happened and find out who is responsible. The motorcyclist might have been the breadwinner for a family or a stay-at-home parent. The loss of a loved one can be costly, both financially and emotionally. Insurers will do whatever they can to minimize their costs. In many instances, they'll make an early settlement offer to end the case. While the offer might sound generous, it's often not nearly as much as the family could be entitled to in compensation.

In this case, the rider in this fatal motorcycle crash lost control of his bike and wound up under the back tires of the semi-truck. The investigation is ongoing and law enforcement officials are still trying to piece together exactly what happened. The family of the motorcycle accident victim should make sure to gather all the available information and discuss their options.
