Car accidents in Denver are common occurrences. Most drivers may drive safely but occasionally reckless driving happens which results in tragic consequences.
This past Friday night a car accident occurred in Wheat Ridge that killed a man and seriously injured 3 others including two children. The suspect was driving with a woman and two kids south on Kipling when he crashed into two cars. The victim in one of the cars died as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident. The people in the other car did not have any injuries. The suspect's passengers were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for their injuries. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was later arrested at his Lakewood apartment. He has been charged with felony menacing and vehicular homicide. Police believe he was driving recklessly at a high rate of speed.
Families can have their world turned upside down with a car accident. When a loved one dies unexpectedly they can leave behind many issues for their family to deal with. Medical expenses, funeral expenses, loss of wages can all be huge expenses for families to have to fund. A legal professional skilled in personal injury can help these families recoup compensation to cover these expenses while they come to terms with their tremendous loss. Negligent drivers should be held accountable for their actions.
Nothing can bring back the loss of a loved one but compensation can help a family move on and spend time grieving instead of worrying about financial matters. Denver families should know what their rights are in such circumstances, and a legal professional may be able to help them.
