Bike crash in Fort Collins sends cyclist to hospital

Denver residents enjoy one of the best biking areas in the country. Usually bikers and automobile drivers can use the streets harmoniously, but occasionally bike accidents occur, and some of these collisions result in serious injuries. When the weather is cooperating, more people are out biking. No mater the weather, drivers should always use caution and be aware of possible cyclists in the area.

A recent accident in Fort Collins sent a cyclist to the hospital. A Saturn Vue driver was traveling southbound on Timberline Road when he attempted to make a right turn onto Drake. During this maneuver, the driver struck a cyclist. The cyclist was transported to the hospital with apparent head injuries. An investigation is ongoing, and authorities and seeking to establish the cause of the accident and assign liability.

When an accident occurs to a loved one, families could be seriously affected. Accidents aren't planned, so the unexpected medical bills, loss of wages and other expenses can cause a family a lot of distress. Many times, biking accidents cause serious injuries, which could leave the injured immobilized while they recover. In order to offset the associated costs, a personal injury suit could be filed to recover compensation. This could help the injured and their loved ones alleviate the financial burdens the accident caused.

Sharing the road with cyclists is important for all careful drivers. Bicycling is extremely popular in Denver and reckless acts that endanger these cyclists should be punished. In order to figure out what their next steps should be, the injured party and their loved ones should seek guidance about their legal remedies.

A legal professional could visit the accident scene, conduct an independent investigation and determine who was at fault for the accident. This could significantly help them file a civil suit. Compensation is available for medical expenses, funeral expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering and other damages related to the accident. Negligent drivers should be held accountable for their actions so that they don't harm anyone else.
