There have been many reports of street racing in Denver over the past months. We have covered street racing before but it appears that it still is a problem for drivers. Street racing is incredibly dangerous and innocent drivers can be unexpectedly caught up in it and become seriously injured or even killed.
Police are investigating another car accident involving street racing that occurred this past Friday night. The crash took place between two vehicles near an intersection. The Colorado State Patrol believe one of the cars and a motorcycle were racing northbound on the road. The racing car apparently lost control, spun around into the southbound lane and hit another car head-on. Six people, two people from racing car and four from the other vehicle were taken to the hospital for injuries resulting from the crash. Police are still looking for the motorcyclist who fled the scene.
A person who is seriously injured in a car accident can face many obstacles. When the car accident is caused by the negligence of another person, the victim may be eligible for compensation for their injury. A legal professional skilled in personal injury can help injured drivers collect compensation for the medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages. They can help hold negligent drivers responsible for their carelessness in the hope that no one else will suffer.
Street racing is still a dangerous activity that is happening on Denver roads. Anyone who is participating in the activity or is innocently in the area can be involved in an accident with serious injuries. Holding those responsible for this activity is important in making sure no one else suffers because of this unnecessarily risky activity.
