About Maddie

Maddie McClain is a family law attorney with Ciancio Ciancio Brown, P.C.  Maddie acknowledges the psychological, emotional, and financial stressors that can accompany family law issues and seeks to provide calm and empathetic guidance through these difficult situations.  Maddie provides representation in a variety of areas, including dissolutions of marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities, child support and spousal support, protection orders, adoptions, and dependency and neglect.

Maddie’s prior experience as a resource worker in a domestic violence shelter affords her an intricate understanding of domestic violence and its impact on children.  Maddie uses her experience to approach clients from a trauma-informed perspective and to help clients maintain focus on life after their family law matter is resolved.

Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, Maddie attended law school at The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. and graduated in 2022 with a concentration in Family Law and Estate Planning.  Maddie’s previous work experience at the National Family Violence Law Center acquainted her with issues of parental alienation and co-parenting dynamics.  Since law school, Maddie’s practice has focused exclusively on family law matters, as she is passionate about ensuring people of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic statuses have equal access to justice.

Maddie strives to closely comprehend client goals and ensure that each client feels secure and dignified in resolving their family law matter.  While these goals are often achieved through negotiating settlements, Maddie is always prepared to zealously advocate for her clients in the courtroom.

In her personal time, Maddie enjoys rockhounding and volunteering at animal shelters.  Maddie and her wife love to cheer on the WNBA and spoil their two disabled rescue cats, Lily and Vixen.
